A Calm, Judgment-Free Space for Growth
I’m Brenda!
- the trainer behind Mystic Dog Training. My path to this work wasn’t straightforward—it was shaped by my own struggles with depression, ADHD, and the ongoing journey of learning how to show up for myself and others.
Dog training became more than a career for me—it became a practice in nervous system regulation, patience, and growth.
This work has given me purpose and healing, and it’s my mission to share that same gift with others: a safe, compassionate space where both dogs and people can learn, adapt, and thrive together.
My Training Philosophy
At Mystic Dog Training, there’s no one-size-fits-all formula. Every dog is different, and every situation is unique. Some dogs need more softness, others need firmness, and many thrive with a blend of both. My role is to adapt with calm, empathy, and honesty—always keeping the relationship at the heart of the work.
I focus on:
Clear communication between dogs and their humans
Meeting biological needs through exercise, play, and structure
Teaching neutrality, not just obedience, so dogs can truly be with you in everyday life
Creating a judgment-free space where clients feel safe to ask questions and learn
Outside of Training
When I’m not working with dogs, you’ll usually find me outside—gardening, hiking, or enjoying a quiet moment by the lake with a good book. I love photography, thrift stores, and all things vintage, and I’m always inspired by nature and people who live authentically.
These passions aren’t separate from my work—they’re part of what makes Mystic Dog Training feel grounded, calming, and connected to the natural world.
A Promise to My Clients
I promise to meet you and your dog with empathy, honesty, and compassion. I promise a judgment-free space where you can learn without fear of “getting it wrong.” And I promise to keep growing as a trainer so I can give you the best tools and support possible.
Together, we’ll uncover clarity, build calm, and create the connection you’ve been searching for with your dog.
